Mozilla Announced HTML 5 Firefox OS Smartphones | GeekPhone Peak and Keon Handset Specs and Features



                        Mozilla announced the first batch of smartphones running the HTML 5-based Firefox Operating System .See the new two  GeekPhones named as Keon and Peak.The first Firefox OS smartphones targeted at app designers and developers to start creating the upcoming OS' application ecosystem.Both are low-end smartphones that fall in line with the Mozilla’s plans to attack emerging and prepaid markets.


                       The GeekPhone Peak, which is the more powerful of the two. It sports a 1.2GHz dual-core Snapdragon S4 chip with 512MB of RAM and 4GB of Inbuilt memory.Peak smartphone come with a 4.3" qHD IPS screen and equipped with an 8MP LED flash  camer and 2MP front-facing camera. The smartphone is powered in 1800mAh battery.It has microSD card slot  and connectivity options and the usual array of smartphone sensors.






                       Next, Nicely colored Keon sporting a unique Firefox-inspired orange paintjob. The only camera is at the back and it comes with a 3MP senor and no flash.The smartphone powered in a 1580mAh battery.The Mozilla firefox handset powered by  Snapdragon S1 processor with 512MB of RAM and equipped with a 3.5" HVGA display.internal storage is 4GB and despite its low-end nature, GeekPhone has thrown in a microSD card slot. 



                       The Pricing details was not disclosed, however Mozilla said the first developer devices are expected to launch in Next Month.
